This Privacy Policy describes how Point Solutions ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the On The Spot mobile application ("App") on Android and iOS devices.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
1. Information We Collect
Location Data
The App requests access to your device's precise location (GPS) solely to help you save, organise, and navigate to places. Location data is processed on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Photos / Images
You may optionally attach photos to saved locations. These images are stored locally on your device only and are never uploaded to any external server.
Search Queries
When you search for a place in the "Pick on Map" screen, your search query is sent to the Google Places API to return autocomplete suggestions and location coordinates. This data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Device Information (Ads)
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve relevant ads. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on how AdMob handles data.
2. How We Use Information
- To display your current location on the map when requested
- To allow you to save and manage custom locations on your device
- To provide place search and autocomplete features via Google Places API
- To display advertisements through Google AdMob
- To enable sharing of location data with other apps on your device
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
3. Data Storage
All location data, notes, and photos you save within the App are stored locally on your device using an on-device database. We do not operate any servers or cloud storage for your personal data. Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all locally stored data.

The App integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

5. Location Permissions
The App requests "While Using the App" location permission to show your current position on the map. You can revoke this permission at any time through your device settings. Revoking location permission will disable the "Use Current Location" feature but will not affect other functionality.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
7. Data Security
Since all user data is stored locally on your device, security depends on your device's own security features (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device up to date with the latest security patches.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data stored locally on your device at any time within the App
- Delete any or all saved locations directly within the App
- Revoke location or photo permissions via your device settings
- Uninstall the App to permanently remove all locally stored data
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
